Batts Trailblazer
|
| Batts Inc. has produced high-quality runway de-icing equipment for airports large and small, throughout the U.S.A. and overseas. Now, the Trailblazer is ideal for highway anti-icing and de-icing. |

|
| Application Rate |
| The material application rate is controlled by a new computer system. This system allows the operator to select the rate desired. Low settings are used for anti-icing while high settings are used for de-icing. Once the rate is set, the control automatically maintains that rate regardless of the vehicle speed. Application rates as low as 10 gallon per lane mile at five M.P.H. (37 L at 8 kph) to as much as 40 gallon per lane mile at 40 M.P.H. (150 L at 64 kph) are available to the operator. |

| Product Delivery |
| Any tank size can be used to meet the customer's need. From the product tank, the Trailblazer uses three-section multiple nozzle spray heads to accurately apply de-icing fluid from one to three lanes. |
|
|
| Support Vehicle |
| Since the Trailblazer is completely self-contained, (power, pumping, and control system) it can be mounted on any truck chassis or any trailer. A dedicated vehicle is not robbed of power needed to supply the unit. No power take-off or hydraulics is required. However, hydraulic drive systems may be used in place of the 16 hp Vanguard engine. |
| Capacity |
| The Trailblazer capacity is limited only by the size of the product tank. For example, a 2,000-gallon (7,600 L) product tank can range from 50 to 200 multiple, lane miles (80 320 km). |
|
| Construction |
| The frame of the Trailblazer De-Icer unit is constructed of heavy-duty structural tubing and includes two tie-down locations so that it may be securely fastened to the cargo bed of the vehicle. The modular designed Trailblazer is 55 inches wide, 36 inches deep, 25 inches high (1.4mW x .9 mD x .6 mH), and weighs 735 lbs (333 kg). This design allows the Trailblazer to adapt to any tank and truck chassis, or trailer desired. |
