| The Batts HPB Series De-Icer is a self-contained deicing unit designed for heavy-duty use in winter weather conditions. The unit consists of a 300 gallon (1140L), skid mounted tank equipped with a Batts De-Icer Pro spray system for spraying tight areas around sidewalks and loading areas, near parked vehicles, and anywhere visibility is limited. The De-Icer Pro HPB series is ideal for treating Highways, Parking facilities, and Bridges. | ||
| Product Delivery | ||
| De-icing fluid is accurately applied through Multiple Nozzle Sections permitting the operator to spray a swath width of 12 feet (3.6m) behind the unit. Like the spray bar assembly, a rotating spray head is located at the rear of the vehicle and provides an additional swath of twelve feet (3.6m). The spray head can be turned from side to side allowing the operator to spray to the curbside or street side of the vehicle. The spray bar and spray head combine for a 24’ (7.3m) swath. | ||
| Application Rate | ||
| This unit is used in close areas where slow speeds are essential and also on roadways. Application rates from 0.5 to 1.5 gallons per 1000 sq. ft. (1.9 – 5.7 L / 93 m2) are possible with this unit. Low settings are used for anti-icing while high settings are used for de-icing. Once the rate is set, the control automatically maintains that rate regardless of the vehicle's speed. | ||

| Control System | ||
| The console controls the application rate, power unit activation, and nozzle functions. A flexible cable allows the console to fit into the cab of the vehicle. | ||
| Pumping System | ||
| A self-loading and self-unloading pumping system eliminates the need for a pump on your storage tank. | ||
| Frame | ||
| The HPB frame is made of heavy-duty tubular construction and is easily installed within a truck cargo bed. |
